As supplied in booking details

2. Nature of Counselling

I provide online counselling sessions lasting 50 minutes. Sessions are offered either as one-off appointments or as part of a monthly subscription.

My approach is integrative and tailored to your needs. Counselling is a collaborative process and requires openness and active participation.

While therapy can be highly beneficial, specific outcomes cannot be guaranteed.

Counselling is not a substitute for medical, psychiatric or emergency care.

3. Fees & Payment

  • Monthly Subscription: £240 per month

  • One-Off Session: £60 per session unless otherwise agreed

  • Payment is required in advance

  • Subscription payments are due monthly

  • Non-payment may result in suspension or termination of sessions

Fees are reviewed periodically. Reasonable notice will be given of any change.

Refunds are not provided for unused sessions within a subscription period unless agreed in exceptional circumstances.

4. Cancellation & Missed Sessions

A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule.

Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed sessions, will be charged in full.

If I need to cancel a session, an alternative appointment will be offered or the session refunded.

All information shared in sessions is confidential and stored securely.

Confidentiality may be breached if:

  • There is risk of serious harm to yourself or others

  • There are safeguarding concerns involving a child or vulnerable adult

  • Disclosure is required by court order or law

Where possible, this will be discussed with you first.

6. Data Protection & GDPR

Your personal data is processed in accordance with UK GDPR.

  • Records are stored securely (encrypted/password protected)

  • Notes are brief and factual

  • Records are retained for 7 years after therapy ends (or until age 25 for minors)

7. Online Counselling & Technology

You are responsible for:

  • Ensuring you are in a private, confidential space

  • Having adequate internet connection

  • Ensuring your device is secure

If technology fails, we will attempt to reconnect. If reconnection is not possible, the session may continue by telephone where appropriate.

Online therapy may not be suitable for clients experiencing acute crisis, severe psychiatric conditions, or those requiring intensive support.

8. Crisis & Emergency Support

I do not provide a crisis service.

If you are in immediate danger or require urgent support, you must contact:

You agree to take responsibility for seeking emergency support where necessary.

9. Fitness to Attend Sessions

Sessions must not be attended under the influence of alcohol or non-prescribed drugs.

If you attend a session under the influence, I reserve the right to end the session and the full fee will remain payable.

10. Contact Between Sessions

Email contact is for scheduling or brief support only (if part of subscription agreement).

Emails are monitored during working hours only. I do not provide 24/7 support.

To maintain professional boundaries:

  • I do not accept friend/follow requests from clients

Your identity will not be disclosed and confidentiality is maintained.

15. Ending Therapy

You may end therapy at any time.

I may also end therapy if:

  • Fees remain unpaid

  • Therapy is no longer clinically appropriate

  • Boundaries are repeatedly breached

Where possible, we will aim for a planned and supportive ending session.
